ABRA COVID-19 Update
As of the end of the business day Friday the ABRA will be officially cancelling all approved events as per the Government of Alberta asking businesses and sports to take a three week leave to reduce the curve. That being said we encourage hosts to speak with their local AHS and if you are able to work with them to get an exemption we will approve your event. Unfortunately, the ABRA cannot given the dynamics of each indoor facility work with AHS to provide a provincial blanket of approval. We are all crossing our fingers and toes that in three weeks this curve will be flattened and/or we have some updates from the government and AHS. If hosts receive AHS approval, we will work with those hosts on what models they used to get these approvals and share this information so that you may use those ideas to speak to your own local AHS. We will remain approving events after Dec 15 at this time and provide further updates when the government releases new restrictions Dec 15. Thank you for your support.
